abstract⁄Creating workplace seating plans is currently a laborious task carried out based on intuition with potentially suboptimal outcomes. A data informed seating plan generator could see an increase in organizational success metrics. In this paper, we present a modular framework for using a social network, a spatial network, and an organization objective to generate datainformed seating plans for a design firm. In addition, an opensource tool was created to allow individuals in an organization to evaluate prospective arrangements. This implementation gave employees more agency by informing their seating decisions as well as the ability to better inform their intuitions about seating arrangements.
