article⁄The Mind's Eye: Movement and Time in Architecture (1997)
abstract⁄Le Corbusier notes in Vers Une Architecture that, becausewe look at the creation of architecture with eyes which are5'6’ from the ground, it is imperative to ‘deal with aimswhich the eye can appreciate, and intentions which takeinto account architectural elements.’ Le Corbusier 1927Architecture is a threedimensional entity that weexperience as much through movement as repose. Therefore, it is essential that the computer technologyused to design architecture enables the consideration ofboth aspects of this experience. This paper presentsseveral ways in which animation is used to enhance thedesign process.
