article⁄Learning in Digital Space: Dynamic Visualization of Structural Behavior as a Teaching Strategy (2002)
abstract⁄This article explores the problems with the existing models employed as a basis for teachingstructures effectively in architecture programs. As a solution, it outlines the development of a multimediaeducational software package as an alternative to the less effective traditional approach. The software described utilizes a wide range of highquality graphics, computergenerated models, animations, Virtual reality models and audio to demonstrate the principles and applications ofstructural analysis. The development of the educational software aims to provide structural analysisinstruction that is better suited to the skills, disposition, and learning needs of architecture students.
