abstract⁄A compositional study based on a visual interpretation of information theory is introduced. An algorithm is presented that relates variety in spatial parameters to visual information, along with a genetically inspired mechanism for refining a design through cycles of incremental cumulative changes. Two and threedimensional examples are shown.
