Constructing Morphogenetic Operators with Inversive Geometry (2013)
article⁄Constructing Morphogenetic Operators with Inversive Geometry (2013)
abstract⁄We aim to expand the toolset of geometric operations available in computer modeling programs. Our work introduces novel techniques for the development of surface topologies inspired by deformations of biological membranes. Using examples from morphogenetic mechanisms, we model continuous changes in curvature and genus through innovative use of inversive geometry.
