article⁄Computer-aided Extraction of Morphological Information from Architectural Drawings (1994)
abstract⁄The objective of the research reported in this paper is to design, implement, and test a computerbased system which allows its user to 1 extract automatically the geometric, topological, and spatial structures of an architectural plan, 2 extract morphological information, such as axes of symmetry, hierarchical structure, proportions, and modularity from architectural plans, and 3 compare morphological information of classes of architectural plans. Computer vision and pattern recognition techniques are used.
